- Special gathering at Bentley Luxembourg coincides with launch of fourth-generation Continental GT
- Ultimate grand tourer revealed at Bentley showroom with musical accompaniment from Steinway & Sons
- Creativity and craftsmanship on show with in-house coachbuilding specialists Mulliner and Bentley partners Macallan whisky
(Munich, 27 September 2024) Bentley Luxembourg has marked 25 years in the Grand Duchy with an exclusive musical evening celebrating creativity and craftsmanship. The landmark occasion coincided with the reveal of the new, fourth-generation Continental GT, the first car built around Bentley’s Ultra Performance Hybrid powertrain.
Held at the Bentley showroom in Gasperich-Luxembourg, the special occasion was enhanced with a sensory musical experience from Steinway & Sons. World leaders in the manufacture of grand pianos, Steinway & Sons share the same values of craftsmanship as Bentley, with uncompromising standards of workmanship.
Further creativity and craftsmanship was provided at the celebration event by Bentley’s in-house coachbuilding specialist, Mulliner, the oldest and most respected coachbuilder in the world. Guests were also invited to sample single malt whisky from Bentley Motor’s ongoing collaboration with The Macallan. The Scottish distiller has a legacy of innovation and excellence dating back to 1824.
The ultimate Grand Tourer on display at the event featured the latest Bentley chassis technology, including active all-wheel drive, torque vectoring and four-wheel steering. Delivering 782 PS and 1000 Nm of torque, combined with 50 miles (80 km) of electric-only range and a CO2 figure of under 50 g/km, the new Continental GT is the most powerful, dynamic and sustainable car in Bentley’s 105-year history.
Richard Leopold, Regional Director, UK & MEAI at Bentley Motors, commented:
“The 25th anniversary of Bentley Luxembourg is the latest in a series of occasions that mark long-standing relationships with our many partners across Europe. Nearly 25 years ago we were on the brink of launching the Continental GT, a sector-defining car that transformed Bentley irreversibly. To maintain such a positive partnership with our friends at Bentley Luxembourg throughout this time shows the level of trust and commitment to each other, as well their drive to supporting our valued customers in the Grand Duchy. Today, it is somewhat fitting that we celebrate alongside the launch of the latest Continental GT, still the world’s benchmark luxury Grand Tourer, and one that will provide a springboard to further success, together.”
Pascal Faber, Dealer Principal at Bentley Luxembourg, added:
“Bentley Luxembourg has enjoyed a long and successful partnership with Bentley Motors dating back to 1999, only a year after ownership of the iconic British brand changed hands. We have experienced the full evolution of Bentley in this time, from the launch of the first generation Continental GT, the car that created and defined the luxury grand touring sector, to the new, fourth generation model which has just arrived in our showroom and pushes the boundaries even further.”
