Jan-Henrik Lafrentz

Jan-Henrik Lafrentz rejoined Bentley in October 2019 in his former role as Member of the Board for Finance and Information Systems.

During this time, Bentley has achieved record financial results in spite of a number of globally challenging situations, while maintaining financial stability under Lafrentz’s leadership.

The Bentley Motors operating profits increased to €389 million, more than doubling the previous highest figure. Building on this success, 2022 witnessed yet another milestone for Bentley, with operating profits increasing by a further €319 million from the already record-breaking performance of 2021, further solidifying Bentley's position as a leader in the luxury automotive sector.

Alongside his role at Bentley, Jan-Henrik volunteers as Member of the University Council at the European Business School in Oestrich, Winkel, and has done this since May 2019. 

Prior to Lafrentz rejoining Bentley, he was Chief Finance Officer of MAN SE and Member of the Board for Finance at MAN Truck and Bus SE, from 2014 to 2019. This followed his first stint at Bentley as Member of the Board for Finance between 2010 and 2014.

Before this, Jan-Henrik was with SEAT S.A. from 2003 to 2010. He began as Chief Financial Officer before taking on the role of Vice President for Sales and Marketing.
Lafrentz first started with VW Group in 1994 in the Sales & Marketing Control division at Audi, he then went onto become Head of Finance and Administration at Volkswagen-Audi in Spain.

Jan-Henrik was educated in his home country Germany, before finishing his business school studies in London and Paris. In 1993 he was awarded a degree in Business Administration by the European Business School.
